Hearty and Delicious Comfort Food @ Dashi Dining Saya

Itadakimasu~~~ Check out my lovely brunch at Dashi Dining Saya, Isetan Lot 10 over the weekend. From delish assorted Japanese appetizer to rice with dashi soup, it was such a hearty comfort meal.

Dashi Dining Saya located at the lower ground floor of Isetan Lot 10 features a casual and comfortable counter dining.

The restaurant specialised in Dashi soup with Japanese steamed rice topped with a selection of ingredients such as salmon, tuna, mackerel and chicken.
What exactly is "dashi"?
Well, Dashi is a Japanese stock broth made from long hours of simmering using bonito flakes and kombu. The clear broth adds a depth of taste and flavour to dishes without any fishy smell at all.

Pour the hot dashi soup over the rice.

Voila! A bowl of hearty and flavourful dashi soaked rice ready to be enjoyed. The best part is, you can get unlimited refills on the delicious soup for free.

Rice with Hot Dashi Soup topped with Soy-Marinated Tuna Sashimi RM29

The tuna set was equally good. Fresh and succulent sashimi, lightly seasoned with soy sauce.  Ohh... don't forget to top your bowl with the accompaniments such as spring onion, sesame and wasabi.

Who could resist such light and fluffy Japanese rice? Yummylicious!
