Discover Malaysia Like A Local with XTVT, Travel App

We all love to travel, but planning for a trip can be a daunting task! Where to go? What to eat? And the list goes on. Well, if you're planning to visit Malaysia, now you can take the headache out of travel planning and discover Malaysia like a local with XTVT. Malaysia has so much more to offer than the few iconic landmarks, activities and traits that has been overly promoted to the rest of the world.

CiEdge Adventure has officially launched XTVT, a homegrown travel app that connects travellers with the ever-growing number of locally run activities in Malaysia. The launch event was officiated by YB Tuan Muhammad Bakhtiar bin Wan Chik, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia at Sunway Putra Mall.

XTVT app makes it possible for tourists to uncover hidden gems in Malaysia from a local perspective which inspired the tagline "Discover Malysia Like A Local'. There are 12 categories of activities to choose from, navigating users to the nearest tourist hotspots with reference to the map and its booking feature in collaboration of affiliate partners.

The homegrown travel app also gained interest from key players in the tourism industry that range from government, corporate and social agencies. This is due to XTVT's full support of 'Visit Malaysia 2020 campaign' and its goal of achieving 30 million international tourists arrivals and RM100 billion tourist receipts with focus on ecotourism, arts and culture.

In accordance to XTVT launch event, XTVT with Backpackerz magazine has organized the XTVT Race 2019 with the theme 'Discover KL Like a Local'. A total of 21 teams was divided into a group of three to compete in the race, which took them on a whirlwind tour around Kuala Lumpur to complete riddles and pick up clues at tourist attractions around the city, made possible using KL Hop-On Hop-Off Bus.

Based on the answers of the riddles and clues, the contestant will have to travel to specific locations to complete tasks and take photos as proof of completion. The most points and fastest team will win the XTVT Race with attractive prizes such as cruise trips, stay's at Pulau Tioman, travel apparels and cash up for grabs. Congratulations to the winner!

  1. If you want to travel and feel comfortable communicating with foreigners, you need English at least at a conversational level. But, of course, the better you know the language, the better. I recommend Promova, where you can study and take various tests, do exercises like this parts of speech online test. This will all help you learn English quickly and effectively.
