Chef's Recommendation @ Zuan Yuan Chinese Restaurant, One World Hotel

One of my favourite Chinese fine dining restaurants, the high-end Zuan Yuan never fails to amaze me! This March, tantalise your taste buds with Executive Chef Tommy Choong and his team signature dishes recommendation showcasing the finest ingredients and a myriad of delicious flavours and textures. The highlight dishes include Pan Fried Mini Chicken Bun with Bentong Ginger and Wood Fungus, Sauteed Prawns stuffed with Asparagus, Truffle Paste and Honey Walnut, Braised Lamb Brisket with Water Chestnut, Mushroom and Fried Bean Curd in Claypot, Steamed Live Dragon Garoupa Fillet Roll in Egg White Sauce and Red Tobiko and Chinese Steamed Sponge Cake (Ma Lai Go) with Organic Molasses Sugar.

Pan Fried Mini Chicken Bun with Bentong Ginger and Wood Fungus Rm15nett

The soft and fluffy bun stuffed with a generous amount of flavourful chunks of chicken, fragrant Bentong ginger and wood fungus, just mouth-watering.

Sauteed Prawns stuffed with Asparagus, Truffle Paste and Honey Walnut RM68nett
Fresh and succulent prawns stuffed with crisp, tender asparagus topped with honey walnut and truffle paste, a delight of flavour and texture.

Braised Lamb Brisket with Water Chestnut, Mushroom and Fried Bean Curd in Claypot RM68nett

Perfectly braised, this magnificent lamb brisket is the star of our meal. The briskets has a fairly consistent fat to lean ratio, it was fall-apart tender, juicy and flavourful, whilst the water chestnut add a refreshing crunch, absolutely delicious. Another plus point, the chef uses local lamb, hence there wasn't much of the gamey flavour compared to imported ones.

Steamed Live Dragon Garoupa Fillet Roll in Egg White Sauce and Red Tobiko RM33/100g
(24 hour advanced reservation required)

Beautifully presented, the sweet and succulent fish fillet topped with a dollop of tobiko was served on a bed of silky steamed egg white.

Chinese Steamed Sponge Cake (Ma Lai Gao) with Organic Molasses Sugar RM15nett
Ending on a sweet note, we had this extremely soft and light ma lai gao which has just the right amount of sweetness with a lovely hint of molasses sugar aroma.

With a team of dedicated master chefs at the helm, the restaurants, which count celebrities and socialites among their esteemed guests, continue to delight patrons with traditional fare crafted with an innovative twist served in a stylish setting.

Also serving all-day dim sum with premium ingredients, this restaurant continues to build its reputation as one of the hottest spots to be. Be prepared for the heart to be touched with charming treats like Steamed Phoenix Eye Dumpling with Water Chestnut and Goose Liver, Steamed Hong Kong Rice Roll with Chinese Breadstick and Chicken Floss, Steamed Signature ''Siew Mai'' with Flying Fish Roe and Pan-Fried Bun with Minced Chicken and Assorted Vegetable to name a few.

The Chef’s Recommendation promotion is priced from RM15.00nett and available for both lunch (12.00pm to 2.30pm) and dinner (6.00pm to 10.30pm). For reservation or enquiries, please call 603 7681 1159 or email zuanyuan@oneworldhotel.com.my.
