Healthy U.S. Potatoes Recipe - Miso & Honey Glazed U.S Fries

 
Hey! What are you cooking today? How about try making this Miso & Honey Glazed U.S Fries? It's so delicious and super easy to make! U.S. Potatoes are the most versatile vegetables, it can be used in most recipe, from baked to steamed to boiled or even fried and grilled. One medium size U.S. Potato contains only 110 calories, it is fat, sodium and cholesterol-free. U.S.Potatoes are more energy-packed than any other vegetable and contains more potassium than a banana. It also provides an excellent source of Vitamin B6 and protein to help boost the immune system as well as aids in muscle growth and strengthen bones. Without further ado, here's the recipe for the Miso & Honey Glazed U.S. Fries created by Dietitian, Indra Balaratnam.

Potato Type: U.S. Frozen Crinkle Cut Fries

Serves: 3

Prep Method: Air-fry & pan -fry

Course: Appetizer 


Ingredients

  • 200 grams U.S. Crinkle Cut Fries

  • 2 Tablespoons white miso paste

  • 2 teaspoons ginger – finely minced or grated

  • 2 Tablespoons honey

  • 2 teaspoons rice vinegar

  • ¼ cup (60 ml) water

  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds

  • 1 stalk spring onion – thinly sliced


Preparation

  1. Put the U.S. Crinkle Cut Fries into the air fryer and cook according to timing and temperature shown on the pack. Set aside

  2. In a small bowl, mix together miso paste, honey, minced ginger, rice vinegar and water till well combined.

  3. Pour the glaze mixture into a non-stick pan and cook it on a low flame till it thickened. Turn off the flame.

  4. Add in the cooked U.S. Crinkle Cut Fries and coat with the glaze.

  5. Pout the glazed U.S. Crinkle Cut Fries on a plate and top with toasted sesame seeds as well as thinly sliced spring onion before serving.
