Malaysian Lifestyle Blog: Plant Origins Advent Calendar 2025 (Review)

It’s that time of the year again! There's something undeniably special about the days leading up to Christmas. Every December, I try to carve out tiny rituals, to help me savour the season. This year, I got the lovely Plant Origins Advent Calendar 2025 and let me tell you, it's a magnificent experience worth indulging in.

Beautifully designed and thoughtfully curated, this advent calendar is filled with wellness, aromatherapy and self-care goodies. Whether you're a skincare lover, essential oil enthusiast or simply someone who enjoys a little surprise, this calendar invites you to slow down and reconnect with yourself. Kicking off the calendar, The Book of Life Watercolour Colouring Book is a gentle reminder to slow down. This 24-page watercolour colouring book comes with 12 watercolour shades and a portable brush.

The illustrations are dreamy and calming. It's a lovely activity to enjoy with kids or friends, or even on my own, perfect for winding down in the evening.

2.Aromatherapy Room Spray Discovery Set (8 units)

The discovery set was one of my favourites. Eight mini room sprays, each with its own personality, from fresh, calming to energising. I love a bright spritz for my workspace, something calming for bedtime reading and something cosy while doing skincare.

3. Aromatherapy Leather Sands Portable Nebulizing Diffuser

This drawer was definitely the highlight of the calendar. The portable nebulizing diffuser in a limited-edition Spring Green that looks so chic. It diffuses pure essential oil without heat or water, the scent is more intense and cleaner. It has become my travel and car companion, compact, elegant and effortless to use.

4. Wooden Brush with Metal Bristles (80 g)

The eco-friendly lotus wood brush has quickly become part of my daily routine. The stainless steel bristles glide effortlessly, even through damp hair, while massaging the scalp for strong, healthy hair. It felt like a mini spa moment!

5. Secret Garden Essential Oil (10 ml)

Soft and soothing, this essential oil is my favourite bedtime aroma. I used it in my home diffuser, and the calming scent made my evening wind-down more relaxing.

6. Eden Bloom Body Wash (60 ml)

A dreamy body wash that feels luxurious without being heavy. I used this during evening showers. The lather is creamy and satisfying, my skin felt moisturised, not tight.

7. Peppermint Essential Oil Blend (10 ml)

Nothing wakes me up like this peppermint oil blend. Just a single drop in the diffuser and the whole room instantly feels refreshed. Great for a quick pick-me-up while working or studying.

8. Eden Bloom Body Lotion (60 ml)

Lightweight and nourishing, this body lotion is a lovely complement to the Eden Bloom Body Wash. The fresh scent of geranium, bergamot and sweet orange, is uplifting yet soft. My skin felt moisturised without any greasy residue. It also supports collagen and elastin production.

9. Lavender & Sandalwood Hand Cream

Infused with nourishing goodness of shea butter, green tea, coconut oil and honey extract, this hand cream sinks into the skin effortlessly to restore hydration and strengthen the skin barrier. It has become my desk essential!

10. Ethereal Bloom Body Oil (8 ml)

Enriched with botanical oils, Sweet Almond, Camelia, Jojoba and Sea Buckthorn oil, plus essential oils like Lavender, Geranium and Frankincense, it's a luxurious treat for the skin. I used this on my arms and decolletage, and the glow was noticeable. It's great for stretch marks and fine lines, and it also improves firmness and elasticity.

11. True Radiance Treatment Mask (5 units)

Tired and dull complexion? This was the skincare hero among the drawers. Each sheet mask is packed with niacinamide, honey and propolis extract, designed to brighten dull skin whilst providing an instant boost of moisture. After just one use, my skin felt refreshed, plump and supple. This became my go-to for makeup prep and quick fix for tired skin.

Bonus: Give the advent calendar a second life

Instead of discarding the box, the advent calendar makes a lovely vanity organiser. The little drawers are perfect for earrings, hairpins and makeup products. It adds a charming aesthetic to my dressing table and keeps everything neat.
