My 10KM Race Day Experience with Salonpas Recovery Support @ International Marathon & Wellness Carnival 2026 at Stadium Bukit Jalil

Last weekend, I laced up and ran the 10KM category at the International Marathon & Wellness Carnival 2026, held at Stadium Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur. The atmosphere was filled with excitement, music, cheering crowds and an overwhelming sense of positive energy from runners.
The event brought together more than 2,800 runners, wellness enthusiasts and visitors from 9 countries over three days, further showcasing Malaysia as a growing hub for wellness tourism, active lifestyles and international sporting events. Beyond the race itself, the carnival featured wellness activities, entertainment segments, community engagement programmes and an F&B bazaar that made the entire experience feel vibrant and community-driven. It brought together private sector stakeholders, industry leaders, government agencies, local communities, and international participants on a unified platform to inspire meaningful engagement and collaboration.

The programme featured the 21KM Half Marathon, 10KM Run, and 5KM Fun Run categories, alongside wellness activities, community engagement programmes, entertainment segments, and an F&B Bazaar designed to support tourism growth, stimulate the local economy, and create business opportunities for entrepreneurs and vendors.
The event was co-organised by several organisations, including Nestle, celebrities fitness, JCI, world top gourmet], with strong support from various strategic partners.
In addition to promoting sports and wellness, the initiative also included a charitable and social responsibility component, featuring fundraising efforts in support of the Malaysia Scout Club and the National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM), reinforcing the organisers’ commitment to community development and meaningful social impact.

The official 10KM and 5KM flag-off ceremony was officiated by distinguished guests and community leaders, including En. Sabran bin Ab Bahar, Director of the Youth and Sports Department of the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, alongside several other invited guests and representatives, including Ms. Chong Wan Pick, Trade Marketing Manager of Mewah Dairies Sdn Bhd.

The organisers extended their sincere appreciation to all sponsors, supporting partners, vendors, ministries, departments, agencies, media representatives, volunteers, and strategic collaborators for their invaluable contributions to the success of the event. Special thanks were also extended to supporting brands and partners including O’Briens Irish Sandwich Café Malaysia, Mewah Dairies Sdn Bhd, RichestLife, as well as all relevant ministries and agencies related to youth and sports development in Malaysia.

The successful execution of the International Marathon & Wellness Carnival 2026 reflects Malaysia’s strong potential as a leading global destination for wellness tourism, international sporting events, and community engagement initiatives. Through this platform, the organisers aimed to energise the body, inspire the mind, and uplift the spirit while fostering international friendship, positive social values, healthy living, and long-term community impact across Malaysia and beyond.

I joined the 10km run category, and the energy throughout the route was incredible. Seeing runners of all ages pushing through together while encouraging one another made the experience even more meaningful. Of course, preparation and recovery are just as important as race day itself. Before and after my run, I used Salonpas Jet Spray for its instant cooling sensation that helps soothe tired and overworked muscles. After completing the run, that refreshing cooling effect just felt so good on my legs and helped me feel more comfortable. I also love how convenient it is to use and easy to bring along in my gym bag wherever I go.

And when post-run soreness started kicking in, I relied on the Salonpas Patch for targeted relief and recovery support. It definitely helped me recover more comfortably and get ready to come back stronger for my next run.

Crossing that finish line at Stadium Bukit Jalil felt incredibly rewarding, not just because of the distance completed, but because of the positivity and community spirit shared throughout the entire event.
