Moon-Shaped Wonders At Zuan Yuan Chinese Restaurant, One World Hotel PJ

The Mid-Autumn Festival will soon be upon us again! It's time to prepare Mid-Autumn Festival mooncake gifts for your loved ones and family. This year, Zuan Yuan Chinese Restaurant of One World Hotel Petaling Jaya is offering 12 types of mooncakes, six baked, five snow skin and one special Teo Chew savoury option.

Some of the timeless flavours includes White Lotus Paste, White Lotus Paste with Single or Double Yolk, Red Bean Paste, Pandan Lotus Paste, Supreme Mixed Nuts and Deep Fried Teo Chew Yam Paste with Single Yolk.

I highly recommend this Teo Chew Yam mooncake!

Flaky pastry, the yam paste was super smooth and not too sweet, absolutely divine.

A bevy of colourful snow skin selection with flavours such as Red Bean Paste and Pumpkin Seed, White Lotus Paste, Pandan Lotus Paste with Single Yolk, White Lotus Paste with Single Yolk and Durian Lotus Paste will make a perfect ending to any communal meal.

To quote Chef Jordan Chin Chee Hong, Dim Sum Chef with more than two decades of culinary experience, "A good mooncake will not stick to the teeth". Having travelled to many Asian countries to taste their versions of mooncakes, Chin is adamant that Malaysia's version is still the best.

Priced from RM21.50nett/piece, these enticing creations are available for ala-carte purchase or sets in four, encased in a cake box from now till 1st October 2020. For further enquiries or orders, please call Zuan Yuan at 603-7681 1159 or email to
