LUMOS FLOAT EVO Review: The Best Affordable Bedroom Projector

As someone who enjoys staying active and exploring new places, I also appreciate having some downtime at home. After a long day out, sometimes the best plan is simply to shower, change into my comfy clothes, grab some snacks and enjoy my favourite shows in bed. Honestly, nothing beats having some me-time to recharge!

So, when I came across the LUMOS FLOAT EVO, I thought this one looks interesting. I've always liked the idea of having a projector at home, but I didn't really want to spend a bomb on one. Then I found out that this projector costs only RM849 and comes with features such as 270° rotation, 4K support, built-in streaming apps and dual speakers. How cool is that!

If you're also looking for an affordable projector, let me share why this one caught my eye.

Watching Movies on the Ceiling

Honestly, the first feature that caught my attention was its 270° rotatable design. Imagine lying comfortably in bed, looking up at the ceiling and watching your favourite show without having to sit upright or keep adjusting your pillows. Sound pretty relaxing, right?

I also like that I can adjust the projection angle without constantly moving the entire device around. Whether you prefer watching on the wall or ceiling, the flexible design gives you more options to suit your viewing position.

Auto Focus and Auto Correction for Hassle-Free Setup

The LUMOS FLOAT EVO comes with auto focus and automatic screen correction, which helps adjust the image and align the screen when you turn it on. This means less time manually adjusting the picture and more time enjoying your favourite content.

For anyone who prefers a fuss-free home entertainment setup, this is definitely a useful feature. Simply position the projector at your preferred angle and let its automatic adjustments help get the image into shape.

Of course, the final result still depends on the projector's placement and your projection surface, but having these automatic features makes the overall setup more convenient.

Built-in Smart System for Easy Streaming

Another thing I like about this projector is its built-in smart system.

The LUMOS FLOAT EVO supports streaming through apps such as Netflix and YouTube, alongside Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. This means you can enjoy your favourite entertainment without necessarily needing to connect a separate streaming device.

Whether I feel like catching up on a series, watching YouTube videos or putting on something entertaining while winding down, having streaming options integrated into the projector makes the setup feel more straightforward.

Massive 200-inch Home Cinema

Who says you need a huge television to enjoy a cinema-style experience at home?

One of the LUMOS FLOAT EVO's highlights is its ability to project an impressive screen size of up to 200 inches, with projection possible from around 1.5 metres, depending on your setup. Just imagine watching your favourite movie on a screen much larger than a typical television. Movie night at home suddenly feels a lot more exciting!

The projector also supports 4K content, helping compatible content deliver sharper details and richer visuals. On top of that, it comes with brightness of 4,500-lumens for vibrant images.

For the best viewing experience, I would recommend dimming the lights and using light-coloured projection surface. Like most projectors, the image generally looks better when there's less ambient light.

Powerful Built-In Dual Speakers

A good movie night isn't just about the visuals. Sound matters too!

The LUMOS FLOAT EVO comes with built-in dual speakers, so you can enjoy your show without necessarily having to buy separate speakers. It also supports Bluetooth, giving you the option to connect compatible audio devices if you prefer a different sound setup.

Affordable Price with Trusted Reviews

What makes this projector even more appealing is its price!

At just RM849, the LUMOS FLOAT EVO makes an attractive option for anyone looking to explore budget-friendly home projection without spending thousands of ringgit. The best part is that, rather than buying several separate devices to create an entertainment setup, you get many of the key features integrated into one projector.

The FLOAT EVO is also an upgraded version of the original LUMOS FLOAT, which has accumulated over 2,000 five-star reviews from customers over the years. Available in two stylish colours, Gold and Silver, it also comes with a one year local warranty.

All in all, if you're looking for an affordable projector, the LUMOS FLOAT EVO is worth considering. Its 270° rotation, automatic screen adjustment, smart streaming features, 4K support, large projected screen and built-in speakers make it an appealing option for everyday home entertainment.

For me, the best part is being able to create my own little cinema at home, whether I’m catching up on a series or simply unwinding before bed.
