It was sunshine, smiles and spuds all around as U.S. Potatoes transformed Lago by The Lake, Kelana Jaya, into a vibrant, beach-themed Father's Day celebration. This fun-filled event was nothing short of laughter, drawing a cheerful crowd of media friends, influencers and bloggers.
We were treated to a sensory-rich experience that celebrated everything we love about U.S. Potatoes, from its incredible versatility to wholesome nutrition and heartwarming appeal. The event kicked off with a warm welcome from Marisa Stein, Director of Marketing at Potatoes USA, who shared insightful remarks about the global appreciation for U.S. Potatoes and their growing popularity in Malaysian households.
One of the highlights for me was a special sharing session by Georgen Thye, a passionate dietitian and founder of Georgen Cooking. He shared some really eye-opening facts about the nutrients of U.S. Potatoes. Did you know they're packed with potassium and vitamin C? His philosophy on smart, balanced eating really resonated with me, and I left with a whole new appreciation of how U.S. Potatoes can be part of a wellness-focused lifestyle.
Next up, the culinary excitement filled the air as rising culinary star Chef Zeniq Chiam took the stage for a live cooking demonstration. Known for his creative and daring style, Chef Zeniq wowed the audience with two impressive bento box creations : U.S. Potatoes Mashed Maki and U.S. Potatoes Korokke, showcasing how this humble ingredient can be elevated into gourmet delights.

The experience was made even more special with a hands-on crafting session, where we painted our own greeting cards to pair with the bento, creating a truly heartfelt gift.
Before the event concluded, a few lucky winners were announced for the social media contest and received beautifully handcrafted gifts. It truly added a little extra sparkle to the celebration.
Overall, the U.S. Potatoes Father's Day Celebration was a wholesome, joyful gathering that combined good food, creativity and spirit of appreciation, all powered by the goodness of U.S. Potatoes. I left with a full belly and a newfound excitement to experiment with U.S. Potatoes in my own kitchen.
