Giant Bukit Tinggi, Klang Hosts Auspicious Yee Sang Tossing Ceremony to Celebrate Unity, Prosperity and Collaboration

I had the pleasure of attending a festive Yee Sang Tossing Ceremony hosted by Giant Bukit Tinggi, Klang, under the management of GCH Retail Malaysia Sdn Bhd, and it was truly a meaningful way to usher in the Lunar New Year. The event brought together community leaders, government representatives, business partners, tenants, media friends and stakeholders, all gathered with shared hopes for prosperity, harmony, and continued collaboration in the year ahead.

The ceremony was graced by Yang Berhormat Pegawai ADUN Pandamaran, Mr. Andy Chen, Yang Berbahagia Mr. Cheah Yong Hock, CEO of GCH Retail Malaysia Sdn Bhd, senior management of GCH Retail Malaysia Sdn Bhd, as well as representatives from mainstream media, KOLs, business partners, tenants, and the Giant Bukit Tinggi, Klang management team.

More than just a traditional Lunar New Year ritual, the event reflected Giant Bukit Tinggi’s commitment to fostering strong relationships within the community while strengthening partnerships that contribute to a vibrant and sustainable retail ecosystem.

During the opening address, Madam Rebecca Phan, Head of Leasing and Business Development of GCH Retail Malaysia Sdn Bhd, shared that the Yee Sang ceremony represents shared aspirations for growth and success. She emphasised that beyond celebrating tradition, the event represents unity, collaboration and shared prosperity, while reaffirming Giant Bukit Tinggi, Klang's dedication to working closely with stakeholders, partners and the local community to create meaningful engagement and long-term value. 

The celebration kicked off with welcoming remarks, followed by a lively drum performance that instantly set an auspicious tone. This was followed by an opening address from GCH Retail Malaysia Sdn Bhd's management, a group photo session with honoured guests and stakeholders, and the highlight of the day, the Yee Sang tossing ceremony, symbolising prosperity, unity and shared success. 

The celebration concluded on a high note with an energetic lion dance performance featuring a horse mascot at the main event area, adding to the joyful atmosphere and marking a positive start to the year ahead at Giant Bukit Tinggi, Klang.
