A Fry-volution : Philips Unveils Its Most Versatile Airfryer Yet

I recently had the chance to attend an exclusive media launch by Philips Domestic Appliances, where the brand unveiled its most advanced airfryer yet, the Philips Airfryer 5000 Series, making its debut in Malaysia. The launch marked an exciting new chapter for home cooking, with Philips setting a bold new benchmark in the kitchen appliance segment. 

What immediately caught my attention was how this all-in-one appliance brings together three cooking functions, Steam, Airfry and SteamFry, powered by Philips trademarked RapidAir™ technology. At the launch, Sue-Ann, Commercial Director of Philips Domestic Appliances Malaysia, shared her enthusiasm for the new product, describing it as a true "fry-volution" in home cooking. She highlighted how the combination of steaming, airfrying and easy cleaning makes this airfryer a game-changer for modern kitchens. 

The Philips Airfryer 5000 Series comes with an impressive lineup of features, including a generous 7.2L capacity that's perfect for families, Rapid Air Technology for fast and even cooking and multiple cooking modes such as Steam, Fry and SteamFry for optimal taste and texture. One standout feature for me was the Steam Wash self-cleansing function which uses steam to loosen grease, making post-cooking cleanup effortless. 

The Philips Airfryer 5000 Series was officially unveiled at an exclusive media launch in Kuala Lumpur, where more than 50 invited journalists, lifestyle content creators and fan-favourite personalities. From interactive tastings to hands-on product experiences, the airfryer truly showcased how the combination of steam and airfrying can transform everyday dishes into restaurant-quality meals. 

One of the highlights of the afternoon was a live cooking demonstration by a guest Influencer Content Creator, Shafique Cute, who demonstrated how the Philips Airfryer 5000 Series helps safeguard food quality, retain nutrients and enhance texture through its SteamFry functionality. This was followed by a lively SteamFry Showdown by Chef Sarah Huang Benjamin, where guest teams put the appliance to the test, reinforcing its versatility, ease of use and consistent performance.
