Philips BikiniGenie Trimmer (BRT 383) Review

Hello! Uhmm.... Today's topic is specifically for the ladies. So men, you could skip this post! Hehehe... With year end fast approaching, it also means holiday season. Whether to the beach or short escape chilling by the pool. Yeah... time to flaunt those bikini wear. But before that, don't forget to keep your bikini area trimmed clean as hygiene also should be first and foremost everyone should consider.

No doubt, there are a number of ways to remove or keep body hair tidy below the belt, such as hot waxing, laser treatments and electrolysis. But all these methods also lead to PAIN... pain... and more pain. It can also be harmful if not done by an expert and cost you an arm and a leg. For those with sensitive skin, you are more prone to skin irritation if the hair removal not done correctly.

The Philips BikiniGenie trimmer has ergonomic designs, which makes trimming, shaving and styling handy and comfortable for those wanting to look good and feel confident on a day to day basis. 

My verdict : 

Love the bright purple colour and beautiful compact design.
The trimmer helps to achieve a precise trim and shave with its 2 click-on combs to trim hair to a 3mm or 5mm length, while the bikini trimming head trims the hair to 0.5mm to a much more groomed look. Switching of the shaver/trimmer head is so convenient with just a twist.

The mini shaving head safely trim the bikini line to 0mm without any cuts. The BikiniGenie trimmer is battery powered and can be used in wet and dry conditions. 

The only disadvantage has to be the vibration and I do find it a tad noisy. You could view my short video.

My verdict : I am very particular with dryer that has very loud noise. I would rate this moderate noise. It takes a little longer than usual to dry my super long hair, but hair does feels much softer compare to my usual dryer.

Philips KeraShine Straightener HP8316/00 (RM169)

For silky smooth straight hair, slide hair between the ceramic plates equipped with ionic technology and keratin coating. The extra-large plates take just 60 seconds to reach 210c - the professional styling temperature to straighten thick and long hair effortlessly and without damage. 

My verdict : I absolutely adore the extra-large plates features. Can you believe that I only need to divide my hairs into 4 sections and silky straight hair is achievable in less than 10 minutes. Wow.... I'm amazed!
However, I do find it extremely hot, so remember to handle with extra care. At times, I even need to turn the heat off in between usage.

Philips KeraShine Heating Styling Brush HP8632/00 (RM199)

Style with care for smooth and soft waves - the 45mm barrel with keratin coating secures long-lasting results with ionic care for shiny and frizz-free hair.

The retractable bristles negate the trauma of tugging for a hassle-free and hair-friendly experience.

There are two styling temperature settings cater to different hair types and reduce the risk of damage while gently creating curls that stay. 

My verdict : Apparently, my hair just won't curl much with this styling brush. It helps to create soft, fuller and wavy hairs.

Do note that several curling attempts are require to achieve my wavy styles.

PHILIPS EASY NATURAL CURLER REVIEW

Hi gorgeous! For almost a month, I had a fabulous time styling my hair with this Philips Easy Natural Curler. Curling hair are much easier now even at the back of my head with this curler.

Philips Easy Natural Curler is Philips latest innovative solution to help women achieve stylish natural-looking curls easily. With its unique Tulip shape, the Easy Natural Curler enables women to create natural and effortless curls in just one simple step. It only takes the Philips Easy Natural Curler 30 seconds for it to be ready for use and is suitable for short, medium and long hair lengths.

The styling plates are designed to prevent accidental brushes and burns to the hair. To reduce hair damage, the plates are coated with protective ceramic to ensure even heat distribution for shiny and soft hair. The plates can only be heated to a professional temperature of 200°C to further minimise hair damage. Usage instruction:

1) Wash hair and blow dry until it is dry.

4) Separate hair into sections before styling.

Tip : Practice with the appliance several times before switching it on.

My verdict :

Pro - One touch Clip & Curl, so easy to use. Curler can also be used for smoothen or straighten hair. 

Con - Hair need to be divided to smaller sections for more tighter curl.

PHILIPS IONIC STYLING BRUSH(HP4588) REVIEW

Hey lovelies! Got my hands on the Philips ionic styling brush that claim to make your hair smooth and shiny with great brushing experience. Wow.... No more frizzy and unmanageable hair! 

Ionic Care

This ionic styling brush has built-in ionizer, which generates negative ions and neutralize positive charge of static electricity. Helps to reduce frizz and bring back shine and smoothness instantly.

Gentle Bristle

All bristles tips are seamless to avoid scrubbing damage on scalp or hair trapping during usage. The special round ball tip has bigger touching surface so it's more gentle to vulnerable scalp.

Optimal 3D Large Cushion

The optimally designed bristle cushion enables better force distribution and follows the contours of the head naturally for more convenience and comfort.

Ergonomic Shape Brush

How to use :

2)Turn on the ion styling brush by sliding the power on/off switch.

3)Brush softly your hair from the roots to the ends. Repeat this step several times.

4) Keep it in a safe and dry place. Do not expose under sunlight for long period of time.

RESULTS???

Right is after brushing with Philips ion styling brush. Hairs look more manageable.

Hair looks smooth and less frizzy. Not so sure about the shine though.

One thing though that caught my attention more are after brushing the bristles looks full of dirt. Mind you, even right after I washed my hair still I can see the bristle are dirty.

The ionizer really does it's work I suppose.

My verdict, this appliance really does help with styling smoother and more manageable hair. Not so obvious on the shine though.

IMO, the size could be better shape for easier handling or comes with a handle?

Do note : 

The ionic brush performs better when the hair is slightly wet. It's best to use the brush after washing your hair, dry until 70% dry. Do not over dry as it may affect the results. The time to comb varies according to your hair type and length!
