TIM HO WAN MICHELIN STARRED RESTAURANT @ MIDVALLEY CITY(NON HALAL)

Tim Ho Wan, Hong Kong's famous Michelin starred restaurant has finally arrived in Malaysia. The term 'Michelin Star' is a hallmark of fine dining quality and restaurants around the world.

While queuing we get to go thru the menu first and placed order. Queue for almost an hour on a Sunday morning and do note they only seat complete groups! Fair enough I think.

Tim Ho Wan just opened last week, its dim sum have won the plaudits of food critics and the hearts of epicureans around the world. Rejoice,as we need no travel to Singapore or Hong Kong for a taste of the famed Big 4 Heavenly Kings by Tim Ho Wan.

Simple decor of dim sum basket on the wall, restaurant is packed with customers.

The Big 4 Heavenly Kings are Baked Bun with BBQ Pork, Steamed Egg Cake(Ma Lai Gao), Vermicelli Roll with Pig’s Liver and Pan Fried Carrot Cake. Tim Ho Wan claimed it's dim sum are made of fresh and premium quality ingredients, delectably fresh as they are not pre-steamed and reheated but its made-to-order, as to retain the dim sum’s flavour and texture. This is so true, as all the dishes I ordered arrived pipping hot!

I don't fancy it's chili sauce which I find a tad salty and taste weird. Think it's mixed with bean paste 'taucu'

Prawn Dumpling (RM11.80)
Generously filled with fresh springy prawn. However the skin failed me, as it's quite thick and not smooth.

Pork Dumpling with Shrimp (RM10.80)
Average!

Wasabi Salad Prawn Dumpling (RM10.80)
Despite fried, it's not greasy at all. Love the crispy skin and perfectly cooked shrimp.

Beef ball with Bean Curd Skin (RM7.80)
This delicious beef ball comes in a rather large size.

Baked Bun with BBQ Pork (RM10.80)
This is the HOT item here.

Crumbly on the outside with sweet salty BBQ oozing sauce inside. Marvelous!!!

Pan Fried Turnip Cake
Must try!!! Thin crunchy layer on the outside and soft inside. Very much flavourful and I love it's texture.

Steamed Egg Cake (RM7.80)
I love 'Ma Lai Gao' and this is the best I've eaten to date. My new found gem!!!

So soft and fluffy with just the right sweetness. 😍😍😍

Glutinous Rice with Lotus Leaf (RM12.80)
Nothing to shout about.

Large serving of rice but taste bland with limited filing.

Vermicelli Roll with Shrimp (RM12.80)
My most regretted order! Enough said LOL

Tonic Medlar & Osmanthus (RM6.80)
Must try, also known as "Kwai Fa Gao" this the perfect dessert to end the meal.

Mango Sago Pomelo (RM8.80)
Thick and creamy mango purΓ©e. Best of all, not too sweet!

Foods..... 😁😁😁

Total damages for 2 person dining are RM130++. Chinese tea refillable at RM2 per glass.

My verdict, being the only Michelin starred dim sum restaurant it's a wee bit overhyped. However it's still worth going with it's well priced, especially for certain item on its menu. I'm not sure if it's culture in Hong Kong, during my visit they are blasting HK 90s hitz song! So loud, it's kinda irritating....

CRISPY CRUST @ SUNWAY, PJ

Malaysians loves fried foods. This is a fact, which I'm used to guilty as charged too. Used to visit KFC at least once a week, french fries, banana fritters, all those fried stuff are my favourite foods. Until, I began my healthy lifestyle journey. Anyway, I still enjoy fried foods once in a blue moon nowadays, so I accepted Crispy Crust food review invitation without a second thought! LOL

The new kid on the block Crispy Crust restaurant, used to operate from a stall at One to Eat Restaurant! Now operating from a restaurant, there are more food choices too.

Look out for this....

Love their furniture concept.

Affordable breakfast....

Lunch deal worth checking out~~~

Big Sandwich with grilled chicken, bacon and pineapple ring.

Big Sandwich with fried chicken and salad.

The ala carte fried platterπŸ˜‹

There's fried chicken, wings, homemade nugget and fries. Their sauces are homemade too, so make sure you check it out.

Salmon, grilled chicken, beef bacon, beef & chicken jumbo sausages and fries.

Spaghetti with caramel beef, beef sausage and chicken wing.

Served in a mestin, this is the set version.
We go for Fried chicken, sausage and Japanese rice with mushroom gravy.

IMO, their fried foods is very crispy but not flavourful enough to eat it on its own. Crispy Crust homemade sauces, will be the highlight to bring out it's flavours. Must try, would be the grilled chicken!

PIZZA SAN FRANCISCO @ KOTA KEMUNING

Olla! It's happy December! A season to be jolly as Christmas is coming soon.... So where are you having your Christmas celebration with family/friends this year?

Pizza San Francisco definitely the perfect venue for a hearty good meal. Established in year 2002, introduced as a casual restaurant providing comfortable dining in smart surroundings. Their extensive menu provides a fusion of flavour, ranging from the recipes of American dishes to traditional Italian cuisines at affordable price.

Banana Daiquiri vs Ice Kasturi
Must try Banana Daiquiri, ordered mine without sugar and it taste just nice.
Ice Kasturi sourish sweet, great to end the meal.
Okay... I had 2 beverages! 😜

Mushroom Bruschetta
Golden brown wholemeal bread with sauteed mushroom
So creamy got me want more....

Seafood Soup
Fresh seafood simmered in broth with spices & herbs
Light bodied soup full of seafood flavours....

Cioppino Seafood spaghetti in mixed herb sauce. Also available fish only version.
Creamy pasta with seafood just heavenly...

Baked Fish Spaghetti with sliced ginger, wild mushroom, garlic, chili flakes and basil leaf served with baked fish
Love the baked fish, coupled with the pasta is light yet fulfilling.

San Special Two in one special.
Half a calzone with turkey salami and half a pizza with minced chicken, cherry tomato, garlic, chili and mozzarella cheese
Truly special with generous fillings, just wow.... The fresh tomatoes sauce taste heavenly too.

Pizzaido
Mozzarella cheese, chili, mushroom, minced chicken and onion
Pizza here tasted exceptionally good. You definitely gotta try it ....

Baked Lamb
Oven baked rack of lamb in honey mint sauce served with roasted potatoes
Thumbs up to the tender meat though I would prefer my lamb to be extra juicy. Loving the sides very much...

Christmas special Bread Crumb Salmon You may want to try the whole salmon serving if you comes in larger party group, else there's single serving for the couples too!
Generous bread crumb paired with moist salmon, crispy outside yet soft flaky salmon inside. Paired with tangerine sauce is real appetizing.

Tiramisu
A classic mascarpone cream cake with finger sponge
Rich and creamy, however I still prefer alcohol-laden tiramisu!

CrΓ¨me BrΓ»lΓ©e
Ever popular cream egg custard my favourite dessert.
No words can describe my satisfaction, judge it from my smile will you. 😁
