PALSAIK KOREAN BBQ MEDIA APPRECIATION NIGHT @ SCOTT GARDEN, OLD KLANG ROAD ( Non Halal)

Things happen for a reason. First of all, thanks to my friend Jenny for highly recommend me to tried out Palsaik Korean BBQ. Though, the price is slight on the higher side they served a variety of items for a filling meal.

Honestly, it's my first time trying out Korean BBQ in my home country. Only tried out Jeju famous "black pork" BBQ years ago during my holiday and boy it was soooooo good! Indeed my visit to Palsaik, Scott Garden resulted they deserve a like from me on their FB page. And to make long story short, upon browsing thru Palsaik's timeline, here I am invited to their media appreciation night to celebrate their 1st year Anniversary. My heartiest congratulations to Palsaik! 😍

Welcome speech by Mr Chung, CEO of Palsaik Malaysia.

We are free to choose any drinks we want and the server recommended me cider which taste like lemon carbonated water. Oopss... I cheated on 2-3 gulp as it's so refreshing.

Started our dinner with a bowl of salad. We are given cucumber with dipping sauce as condiments to eat with the meat and vegetable.

Left : Raspberry wine Right : Plum wine

Before the dinner start, I couldn't refrain myself from ordering some alcohol. This time the server recommended me Raspberry wine. Oh yes please... This taste slight sweetish and very smooth.
My friend ordered Plum wine which more potent and definitely bolder too. I love this for the real wine taste.

Rice wine is good too. I am happy to try out different types of Korean wines.

My top pick? Raspberry wine 😊

Apparently, Palsaik's BBQ plate is made in Korea and would be sent back to Korea's every 3 months for cleaning and maintenance. The plates are made slanted to one side, so the fats from the meat would flow to the other end so you could get less oily meat!

Our menu for the night would be the 8 colour set pork bellies.

The server start by adding on kimchi, mushroom and chilis to the BBQ plates.
Next pork bellies are BBQ from the left to right starting from ginseng, wine, pine leaves, garlic, herb, curry, miso paste and hot. IMO, ginseng, wine and hot taste the best of all!

Wootz.... Look at all those meats!
In case you don't drool, you might wanna check out this video! 😋

The 8 colour set comes with a pot of seafood soup too, which taste abundance of seafood and sourish hot. Indeed, very appetizing.

Korean Ginseng root. Can be eaten raw or BBQ. Being an adventurous foodie, we opt to try both way of eating. Raw taste the best, as you get stronger flavourful ginseng taste compared to cooked!

We are so lucky to be treated to this Korean pancake specially cooked by the lady boss. It's not on the menu so don't bother to order! Hahaha....

What turn out to be a dinner event just got sweeter when there's lucky draw offering Samsung electrical appliances and the grand prize of air ticket by Korean Air for 2 person to Korea. OMG... Everyone look so amazed and surprised!
Sadly, Lady Luck does not shine upon yours truly that night.

Back to foods, our seafood soup pot is cleared off the remains and the server added in white rice with some greens and fried the rice in the pot. Lastly, cheese is added on top of the rice. Like fried rice but with the cheese, this is truly awesome and tasty. I wouldn't mind few more helpings. Opps...

Palsaik 1st Anniversary cake 😍

My foodie friends for the night. Thanks for joining me! 😘

Aged fermented kimchi. This is much more pungent, sour and spicy. But sorry to say I'm not too fond of this. In fact, I'm not really a kimchi lovers. Hehehe....

Finally met gorgeous & friendly Sarah!
Pic credit to her.

With Mr Chung, CEO of Palsaik Malaysia. Thanks for the cute pose with us, oppa! 😍
Once again, thanks for having us and Happy 1st Anniversary!

OKONOMI - WHAT'S YOUR ROLL? @ SOLARIS DUTAMAS

Okonomi at Solaris Dutamas is Malaysia 1st 'custom sushi' restaurant. Such a kawaii name, don't you agree? OKONOMI literally means "to one's liking" Yeah... We can create our own customized sushi with over 80 types of ingredients according to our preferences.

So what's your pick?

You can opt for up to 5 fillings. There's even brown rice and soy wrap other than usual white rice and seaweed. This is definitely good news for those on diet or healthy eaters.

Worth mentioning are their sauces & dressings are homemade.

Matcha latte RM12.90
Azuki Float RM12.90
With just the right sweetness, this is pretty addictive. Even their ice cream is made from scratch too!

Executive Chef Alex Lau hard at work.

The Health Nut RM15.90
Urumaki, soy wrap, brown rice, salmon, japanese cucumber, crispy coral lettuce, green onion, sesame sauce
This is pretty much balance in taste. Light and tasty.

The Seafood Supreme RM26.90
Urumaki, seaweed wrap, white rice, soft shell crab, Hokkaido crab meat, salmon, cucumber, cereal, yukke sauce
A tad salty to my liking, however this plate of sushi is really pretty and generous of seafood filling.

Crab Korokke RM9.90
Gently breaded crab meat deep fried with  poached butter and cream sauce.
IMO, this is a little too mushy. The crab meat taste is strong though.

Finally.......... Ta dah............
My customized sushi. It may not look pretty but it taste marvelous ok!!! 😍

Brown rice with soy wrap, fillings includes avocado, wakame, salmon, Hokkaido crab meat & mixed mushroom. Served with homemade citrus salad dressing for a kick. Healthier version of sushi and taste so good! I named it "Fit sushi" RM19.90
Do try out my combination if you there, ok!

Matcha Lava Cake RM16.90
Be prepared to wait at least 15min as this is baked fresh upon order.
Generous matcha filling oozing out pipping hot, however it's overly sweet for me. Still, it looks pretty presentable!
Fortune Yee Sang is available too for this festive season. Do try it out!
RM38 for 2-3 person
RM68 for 5-8 person

Let me end this with my #ootd at the front entrance of Okonomi.

My verdict
Foods : 9/10
Price : 8/10
Ambiance : 8/10

IDO'S CLINIC BLOGGERS PARTY - EVENT

Hey lovelies! So 2 months back, I've joined IDO'S Clinic bloggers party on a lovely Saturday. IDO'S Clinic is a comprehensive chain of skin, laser and aesthetic clinics focusing on evidence-based, state of the art lasers and aesthetic innovations to restore and enhance your skin, face and body.

Sweet treats for us...

Gone are the days of bloody and brutal plastic surgery. Now with aesthetic treatments, perfection can be achieved which not only doesn't cost a bomb like plastic surgery, it's also less painful with faster recovery time too.

I got the chance to witness how laser is performed for flawless skin. Honestly beside the disturbing laser sound it also smell of burnt hair. Lol
But no, nothing is burnt during the process.

It really opened my eyes on how simple a nose filler procedure. The before and after pic really does look huge difference rite? And all it takes is less than half an hour and it's done.

Thanks Dr Lucas Chia for having me. He's so cute! 😍

Won this mask from the treasure hunt game. Definitely, one of the best treatment mask I've tried. As though my 2nd layer of skin, so thin and light, moisturizes up to 72 hours.

IDO'S Clinic is your one stop centre for hair, face, body, skin and wellness needs. IDO'S Clinic believe that aesthetic treatments resemble creating an art masterpiece where everybody is unique.

IDO'S Clinic is where beauty, art and medicine become one.
