Last week, I had the privilege to join my friend for a special sashimi wine pairing dinner session presented by the Award Winning Celebrity Chef Yanagida Tetsuya from Japan. The exclusive event was held at the Executive Lounge ON 23, Pearl International Hotel. The hotel has been newly revamped recently, strategically located between Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya offering stunning view of the city skyline.
I was lucky enough to catch an amazing sunset too.

We kick-started our evening with the fresh, fruity and intense Bodegas Anadas Care Macabeo Chardonnay.
The bright pale yellow colour
with green tones white
wine has a balanced acidity, intense, crisp & refreshing pair perfectly with the superb fresh Norwegian Airflown Salmon.
Next up, we had the Yellow Fin Tuna. Surprisingly the best wine to pair with tuna is rose wine. I'm so in love with the pretty pale pink rose Bodegas Anadas Care Solidarity Rosado with a fresh, fruity and apple aroma. The wine has a well-balanced with medium body, also perfect for summer time dishes.
Last but not least, the Ikejime Pearl Grouper.
The dark red Bodegas Anadas Care Tinto Garnacha Syrah pair well with the sweet and firm Pearl Grouper. Perfectly balanced the easy drinking wine has a full and intense long finish.
All the wine is available for sale at RM150+ each bottle.
