Red by Sirocco : Hotel Review

Hey! Ever feel like you're in need of a vacation but lazy to travel? There's nothing like a laid-back weekend, hence, a staycation is a great alternative to take a break from your day-to-day life for a relaxing weekend getaway. It is not only convenient and cost saving, but staycation also offers less stress, minus the long travelling. Just a few weeks ago, we check in to Red by Sirocco, one of the newer hotel in town and had the most amazing weekend getaway. Located in the heart of KL, the four-star boutique hotel is tucked in the old KL charm neighbourhood, along the stretch of Heritage Row. We love the fact that this sleek hotel is strategically located just within walking distance to the Dang Wangi subway stop, Quill City Mall, local popular eateries such as Yut Kee and Woo Pin 45 Kamunting and nightlife scene.

The hotel was decorated with the ghost, ghouls, lifelike spooky Halloween decor and pumpkin lantern to give guests a thrill for the Halloween.

More spooky creatures.

To check-in, you will need to proceed to the hotel lobby which is located at the 11th floor. The front desk staff were friendly and accommodating, the entire check-in process was a breeze. Red by Sirocco has 143 rooms furnished in a modern and elegant style perfect for work or city vacation.

Wide and spacious corridor.

The Deluxe Room spans 472 sq. ft is spacious and well equipped with flat screen tv, minibar, coffee/tea making facilities and safety deposit box. Fluffy, plush pillow and ultra comfy King size bed, we had the perfect night's sleep.

The complimentary hi-speed internet keep guest stay connected whilst the work desk is strategically positioned to allow you to work and watch the TV at the same time for your favourite programme. Not to mention, the director's chair was super comfy too!

The nicely lit vanity mirror definitely takes the pie, it is perfect for the ladies to put on makeup and great for men who shave too!:p

The immaculate bathroom had a double sink with plenty of room.

There's no bathtub, but the lovely rainfall showers offer an invigorating shower experience, IMHO equally good or maybe even better.

The complimentary toiletries include shower gel, shampoo, body lotion, soap, comb, toothbrush, shaver and vanity kit.

Iron and ironing board are placed in the closet for your convenience, as well as bathrobes for additional comfort.

Don't forget to schedule in some time to sit back and relax while enjoying a cup of freshly brewed coffee or Chinese tea.

The highlight of any staycation would have to be the swimming pool, regardless of whether you can swim or not. Lol This is also one of my favourite parts of the staycation as the rooftop pool gives you a stunning view of the KL's skyline.

The next morning, we woke up at 6.30am to catch this amazing sunrise.

The hotel's gym features a range of cardio machines and weight training equipment. Also, don't forget to elevate your staycation experience by soaking yourself in a therapeutic massage at The Rub Bar to rejuvenate your mind, body and soul.

Nothing beats breakfast with such a great view.

I love how part of the breakfast selection was served on the conveyer belt, so you can just help yourself to, as they pass. The breakfast spread was decent with a selection of juices, milk, local food, cereals, pastries, bread and an egg station.

We also had the most amazing banana leaf rice for lunch at the newly opened Barnana Leaf Restaurant located at the Ground Floor, Red by Sirocco. The food was delicious, my personal favourite was the Chicken Varuval, Fried Mackerel and Mutton Parattal.

Another highlight of the hotel is the 87.1m tall artwork by graffiti artist Kenji Chai which is the tallest mural in Malaysia as certified by the Malaysia Book of Records. The mural titled 'Courage to Dream' reflects Malaysia as a tropical country with Malaysian Dayak ethnic group, the national flower 'bunga raya', fishes, parrot, tropical fruit and Chinese noodles.

On a whole, we had a wonderful staycation at Red by Sirocco and look forward to coming back again for future staycations. Guests staying at the hotel may enjoy complimentary self-parking at the hotel's elevator car park.
