Alibaba Celebrates 10th Anniversary of 11.11 Global Shopping Festival @ Kuala Lumpur Tower


Hello November! How time flies. Can you believe 11.11 Global Shopping Festival is 10 years old already? In conjunction with the 10th anniversary of 11.11, Alibaba Group brings its celebration ahead of the largest annual one-day sale event in the world with a mesmerizing light show at the iconic Kuala Lumpur Tower. We had the pleasure of attending the warm-up party along with others Malaysian social media figures, pop-stars from local girl-group Amoi-Amoi: Stella Chen, May Ng, ShaoQi; bubbly MY fm radio announcer: Lizz Chloe; game show TV host: Michiyo Ho; up-and-rising Youtuber: Linda Lim and members of the media. It was a blast as we were treated to an assortment of interactive entertainments including performances by the marketplace’s mascot Tmall Cat and high caliber performers that brought the festive spirit to a crescendo.

Tmall's 11.11 journey for the past 10 years was showcased in a spectacular animated projection on the pillar of KL Tower with a mesmerizing fireworks display.

The much awaited 11.11 Global Shopping Festival is back with a wide variety of product offerings ranging from Fashion, Beauty, Gadgets & Electronics, to Home & Living categories across 180,000 brands from Malaysia and around the world, you'll be spoilt for choice. Businesses within the Alibaba ecosystem will jointly offer hundreds of millions of consumers around the world, including Malaysian shoppers, high-quality products, entertainment and fast & reliable services.

On top of that, through the Malaysian Country Pavilion on Tmall Global, an extension of Tmall that helps overseas merchants who do not have a presence in China to sell directly into the country, hundreds of millions of Chinese consumers will be able to pick up even more attractive deals on unique and authentic products from Malaysian brands and SMEs during the shopping festival.
