Alaska King Crab, Black Market (2nd visit)

It's my second visit to this restaurant after month of September. This time is to celebrate a special occasion with my lovely family. Thanks to my dear family for always being there for me thru thick and thin. I am blessed to have you all in my life!

Ok back to the foods stories.... Lol
As usual our main course will be the Alaska King Crab and today we going greedy with a steamed cold serving and 2 cheesy oriental baked rice. Wow.... 3 huge crab for the 5 of us.

Signature pork ribs.... Sadly this time it's not very tender and we struggle a bit to get the meat off the bone.

Pork neck if not mistaken 😅

The steamed served on ice version

Cheesy baked oriental rice version

Proof that we really had 3 whole Alaska King Crab 😂

End the night with raspberry yogurt cheese cake by Secret Recipe. Taste remarkably rich of cheese and yogurt goodness! I love it..... 😍

Alaska King Crab feast at Black Market

Earlier of the month, I had a feast of Alaska King Crab dinner with my family. There are 2 choices of cooking style which is steamed and serve on a iced plate or baked with optional add on of oriental cheese rice.
Alaska King Crab ongoing promo instead of Rm188/pcs, with the Alaska King Crab photo sharing on Facebook or Instragram you can get Rm60 off. Rm128 for a whole size L Alaska King Crab sounds like a good deal right? Beside the crabs, we tried out the ribs and pasta too!
Very tender aromatic ribs.

Black scallop pasta spicy with sweet scallop. Serving size rather small though.

This is the steamed cold version serve with soy sauce, wasabi and lemon. But I never bother of the the condiments as the crab succulent and sweet on its own.

Oriental cheese baked rice is a tad salty. But the rice is tasty, full of fragrant and cheesy.

Look at the meat! Yummylicious...

Smile wide wide for the crabs 😁
Chocolate lava served with a scoop of ice cream. Runny melted chocolate, with just right sweetness.

Tiramisu is equally good.

I've dined with discount from offpeak.my
which entitled a 30% for all food and beverages except alcohol. Alaska King Crab current promotion not entitle for the discount offer.

Truly enjoyed the foods and environment here. The staff are very accommodating as well. Pricing consider on the higher side due to small serving.

Mezza9, Publika Solaris Dutamas

Tried out Mezza9 at Publika, Solaris Dutamas during one of the weekend. It's a restaurant + bar concept thus the interior is dimly lighted and we are seated on bar stool with bar table. Arriving at 6.30pm, we are the only customer around. In my heart, I console myself that the night is still young. Haha... I don't usually walk into an empty restaurant!

We had the whole restaurant to ourself!

Escargot in chili oil is very oily and a lil over done. Serve with white bread, I find the combination a bit off.
Wild mushroom soup is made from scratch I suppose, served pipping hot and I couldn't resist stealing few spoonful from my other half! Lol
Fresh oyster, very fresh indeed! Thumbs up!

I had the tenderloin with red wine sauce.
They offer 3 type of sauces, beside red wine it will be the more common black pepper and mushroom.
I make the right choice! The red wine sauce taste very special, a bit sweetish but rich.

Can't wait to dig in... 😅

The tenderloin is perfectly done to my order. Each bite is heaven! It's very lean so I got no worries of FATS!!!! Hahaha....

We also get 2 different flavour of half pizza and Haiwaiian taste the best while the lamb pizza is nothing to shout about.

Oh boy... I must share this deal they are having. Wine buffet! For only RM55 per person you could drink all the wine you want, be it Merlot, Shiraz, Chardonnay, Riesling etc. There's 15-20 bottles, that you could help yourself with.

As we done with our meal, there's few table that came in for the wine buffet. They are inked on their wrist for recognition and they are free to fill up whichever wine they like!

I am not in a mood for a drink else I've surely grab this deal too! Will I return again? Definitely yes! They serve plain water on the house too.

Happy Farm Restaurant, Kajang (Non Halal)

I am so excited to share, my new found hidden gem in Kajang other than satay. This Happy Farm Restaurant is located at Jalan Laksemana, Sg Chua Kajang. You can key in Awet Thai Garden in your GPS or Waze as it's just opposite of Awet Thai Garden or try key in Jalan 16, drive along the road and towards the end you'll reach this restaurant.

Look out for this signboard

Just opened 8 months ago, this restaurant claims to serve organic kampung chicken and organic vegetable, all rear or planted nearby this restaurant. Yeah, you will be treated to a very green serene view of jackfruit trees, longan trees and vegetables.

Entrance into the restaurant

Fruits tree
Vegetables in the farm

Free range chicken rear behind the restaurant

Dining in this glass room with awesome view

Organic free range chicken (Rm28)- Succulent, juicy and tender is really lip-smacking good
Black fungus pork trotters (Rm25)- A tad salty to my liking and it has the homely taste.
Stir fried organic spinach (Rm8)- Fresh vege taste the best fry with 'wok hei'

So organic that I've found vegetable worm 😳

Very sweet jack fruit(Rm5)

Selfie time

Overall the foods served here is nothing to shout about but it does has those homely cooking feel. I don't feel thirsty after meal too hence not much MSG used. And the plus point will be organic home grown chicken, fresh fruits and vegetable.

Thai Fish Farm, Hulu Langat

Randomly suggested this place for dinner, and after half an hour of car ride finally reached the destination from KL town. This restaurant is nearby to the Ampang Look Out Point. Look out for the signage right after the Gasoline cafe and be warned that the roads leading into the restaurant is kinda rough so drive with caution. I am amazed by the surrounding, it has a big man made pond and very greenery scenery.
It could occupied up to 100 table and even have a stage where they will perform oldies love song.
Almost all table is taken, we are lucky to snap at this one table available.

Selling fresh vegetable from their farm.

This grilled counter is very hot in demand!
Check out the huge oyster.
Check out the extensive menu

From top left: Fish cake, oyster, chili clam, pandan chicken, curry crab and grilled salted tilapia fish.

Fish cake is chewy texture and has those Thai spices fragrant very nice even without dipping the chili sauce. Get only 1pcs of Australian oyster on the rock to tried out cause it cost a whooping Rm10/pcs about size L. Very fresh but I don't think the price is worthy.

Chili clam is quite disappointing as the clam is not meaty even the taste is a let down. Pandan chicken using chicken breast resulting a more dry texture but is full of aroma and flavor, highly recommended.

Curry crab is a nothing to shout about except the Australian crab which taste exceptionally sweet, flaky and very fresh. But this Australian crab cost Rm138/kg double the price of what you could get for local/Indonesia mud crab. Now the star of the night, grilled salted tilapia fish. So the fish is grilled with it's scales on, which kinda turn me off. But upon removing off the layer of skin, ohh.... the flesh is so thick and meaty but there's slight muddy taste. Still, I enjoy it very much. My other half complained that I ordered way too much for 2 person and we end up feeling full like it's a buffet meal. LOL Still no meal is complete without desserts.

Especially when there's mango sticky rice! It's indeed taste very authentic just like what I have in Thai. Got this white kuih too. No idea what's the name.
Night view

Looking forward to bringing my family here next round. Still have lots of dishes like tom yam, prawn and fried spinach to try out. Oh yah... Total damage for our meal is RM190++ with crab being the most expensive at RM80 for a pcs!

Ending this with a fishy selfie 😍
