Weeee..... The luxury of dining under the sky is now available in Melaka. Alto Sky Lounge located on the 22nd floor of Hatten Hotel offer lip smacking good foods with a breathtaking spectacular view of Melaka's coastal township.

Alto Sky Lounge is the perfect venue for mixing business with pleasure with its polished designed and upscale ambience.

Al fresco dining.

The live band performance entertained diners with awesome music.

We kick-started our evening with Rosemount Shiraz, a deep purple red wine with berry fruit character.  Alto's has an extensive selection of fine wine, liquor and deftly crafted cocktails.

Amuse Bourse
Salmon Fume Boursin Marcotte

The amazing smoked salmon roulade wrapped in an abundance of cream cheese with lemon herbs boursin and balsamic pears literary melts in my mouth, just marvellous.

Appetizer
Seared Foie Gras with Coconut Chestnut Puree

The foie gras was heavenly, firm yet creamy with enhanced green apple caramelized and truffle balsamic vinaigrette.

Soup
Sun-God Poseidon Nage Hokkaido Mollusco

The rich coconut cream Royal seafood soup has all the flavour elements with a scallop, salmon roe and yogurt.

Sorbet
Thai Tamarind Nectar Sorbet

Palate-cleansing with this refreshing sourish sorbet.

Fish
Atlantis Black Cod in Truffle Abalone White Consomme

Perfectly seared succulent black cod topped with braised daikon with truffle abalone consomme, baby abalone, tea tree mushroom and asparagus. One of the best dishes of the evening.

Beef
Wagyu Beef Scotch Fillet with Asian Truffle Cream Essence and Foie Gras Butter

A real masterpiece beautifully presented with saffron cauliflower puree, baby French beans, pickled beetroot and cheese crackers.

Simply adores the mouth-watering juicy and tender char-grilled Wagyu ribeyes fillet.

Chicken
Citronelle Oriental Roulade

The tasty lemon grass chicken stuffed with chestnuts prawn, potato skordalia, asparagus spear, sesame pumpkin, dried cherry tomato and alla braces sauce. Love the flavour and texture combination.

Dessert
Royale Coffee Walnut Cheese Cake

What a stunning finale to end our meal, we are presented with the lovely Royale Coffee Walnut Cheesecake with caramel sauce, pandan meringue & colourful summer berries.

Food tastes as good as it looks, the cheesecake is smooth yet intense.

Our meal then ended with a selection of coffee or tea served with the heavenly Petit Four consist of cheese cake, walnut crisps and macaroon on a thick slice of chocolate bar with a slice of chocolate cake beneath.

Christmas Celebration @ Hubba Hubba, Seni Mont Kiara

Last Christmas, I had a Christmas celebration with a few of my blogger friends at Hubba Hubba, Seni Mont Kiara. Hubba Hubba is a gastrolounge located on the 1st floor of the Seni Mont Kiara condo.

We kick-started the night with a tasty combination of salad and pasta.

Chicken Wings RM16
Appetising deep fried chicken wings with curry leaves, chilli padi and onions. This is highly recommended.

Hubba Popcorn Chicken RM16
The soft and tender boneless chicken is just mouth-watering.
Full Monty RM25
Hubba Hubba's pizza crust is red in colour. The light crust is thin and topped with an abundance of mozzarella cheese, tomato, sausages, meatballs and beef bacon.
Lamb Shank Pie RM32
The pie required 20 min of waiting time is good as a main course. The lamb braised with rosemary, carrot and red wine is easily pulled apart with flavourful gravy, but a tad salty for my taste buds.
Nasi Lemak RM18
For a local fare, the coconut fragrant pandan rice served with crispy anchovies, peanuts, cucumber, boiled egg and chicken rendang did not fail us.  Other local delights include Char Kway Teow, Curry Laksa and Mutton Varuval.
Chicken Wala Wala RM22
Boneless chicken stewed in Indian Makhani onion gravy, served with aromatic Raita and Pulao Rice.
Pommery Salmon RM28
The salmon fillet is perfectly glazed with Pommery and served with garlic potato mash and asparagus.

Hainanese Chicken Chop RM24
The whole chicken leg generously drizzled with appetising sweet and sour sauce served with sweet potato fries instead of the usual french fries.

Jerk Out Chicken RM24
The pan baked jerk marinated chicken served with mashed potatoes and greens is pretty delicious too.

Lamb Rack RM48
The lamb rack grilled with 7 spice is impressively juicy and served with garlic potato mash and pea sprouts. Must try!
Peach Melon RM24
Tequila, watermelon liquer, peach puree, strawberry syrup and lime juice.

Blue Hawaii RM32
Rum, coconut rum liqueur, blue curaƧao, coconut puree and pineapple juice.

Asam Boi Mojitos RM25
Rum, mint syrup, asam boi syrup, lime wedges and mint leaves.

That night we were also entertained by the live performance of classic Christmas songs from the band. Good show, guys.

Hubba Hubba also hosted a wrapping game, where we are required to use the wrapping paper provided to wrap up creatively.

Yay.... I'm the present for the night.

Hubba Hubba is the best place for a celebration or even a quiet dinner with your loved one or family. Simply adores the wide variety of foods and pretty affordable price too. As the tag line goes
'Get hooked on life' and you will be in a Hubba Hubba mood no time.

Best of Chinese & Thai Fusion Cuisine @ Oriental Thai, Pullman Bangsar

Oriental Thai is one of the newly opened restaurant at Pullman Bangsar. Take your tastebud on a gastronomic adventure with Asian cuisine as Oriental Thai brings you the best of both worlds by serving Chinese with a touch of Thai cuisine. Enjoy your dim sum, Hong Kong style and Thai dishes with a twist only made possible at Oriental Thai. Here are some of the recommended dishes I personally think you should try.

Steamed Chicken Dumpling with Ebiko
I love the generous Ebiko which add on unique texture to the flavourful dumpling. Just as pleasing on the tongue.

Squid Ink Dumpling with Scallop
Plump and meaty scallop wrapped in squid ink dumpling is truly delectable.

Crystal Prawn Dumpling
Superb prawn with thin layer of crystal dumpling.

Soup of the day
Nutritious, black chicken double-boiled with wild mushroom and herbs. The soup is delicious and I simply adore the soup natural sweetness. But if you are into more boldly flavored soup, you might find this somewhat lack of taste, like some of my friends commented.

Caramelised Crispy Dry Baits
The baits fried crispy with deep caramelised flavour is truly addictive. Made a good savoury snack too.

Jasmine Beef Shank
The aromatic beef shank is moist and tender with impressive presentation too.

Chicken Chef Crisp
Fried crispy 'kampung'(village) chicken topped with lots of chilli flakes, pepper and special seasonings. So tender that even chicken breast taste so marvellous. Must try!

Stir Fried Tiger Grouper Fish Fillet with Celery
Fish fillet is generously spiced, stir-fried with celery give it a subtle taste yet not overpowering.

Luffa Melon Beancurd

Ohh... Incredible silky smooth beancurd. The gravy will pair great with plain rice.

Wa Tan Hor
Noodle lovers must try. Soft flat noodles in a delicious rich broth with intensely aromatic 'wok hei'.

Last but not least, our meal is ends with a sweet treat of the beautiful plated Lemongrass Jelly.

Brightly lit with natural lightning, the restaurant also has rooms for private dining.

Oriental Thai is a great place for delectable dining or a little celebration with family, friend or business associates. Total damage for our meal was RM903.40 including refillable Chinese tea for 6 persons. Price slightly on the high side but it's totally worth every penny.
