Ok back to the foods stories.... Lol
As usual our main course will be the Alaska King Crab and today we going greedy with a steamed cold serving and 2 cheesy oriental baked rice. Wow.... 3 huge crab for the 5 of us.

Signature pork ribs.... Sadly this time it's not very tender and we struggle a bit to get the meat off the bone.

Pork neck if not mistaken 😅

Scrumptious Japanese Buffet Dinner at Xenri D'Garden Terrace @ Menara Hap Seng KL

Was craving for Japanese cuisine during one of the weekend. Due to last minute reservation, my usual favourite restaurant is fully booked and only have slot available after 9pm. Hell no, it's like eating supper at such hour! 😂

The entrance

Then Xenri came into my mind, with tonnes of positive review it's actually on my want to go list for quite some time. So tried my luck and called them up. Yipeee.... they accepted my booking. Though it's a rainy day, the traffic is still consider smooth sailing and we reached within 40 minutes. I love being early birds for buffet. :)

Begin with very fresh sashimi, poached prawn is firm and bouncy but lack of sweetness, oyster is fresh, firm and slippery, ebi tempura is not pipping hot and a tad salty and noodles no comment as I don't taste it! 😁

Some of the selection available at the buffet counter.

Avocado sushi, soft shell crab sushi is decent, spring chicken a tad salty, scallop is more to chewy texture as it's those processed scallop, another round of prawns and the green endamame.

Beef Sukiyaki is nicely done with very sweet sukiyaki soup. I did not bother to finish the soup.
Smoked duck is sinfully good, salty turkey ham while the small crab is just nice for finger foods.

Desserts is nothing to shout about. I am too full to try out the cakes, in fact it does not look attractive to me. Grab some fruits and a cup of pudding/jelly which taste awfully weird.

The lousiest ice cream I've eaten. 😣

Selfie first at the garden terrace of Menara Hap Seng.

Overall selection wise is consider fair, most of the foods are tad salty to my liking, plus point is fresh sashimi and sushi. Attentive waiters to clear your plate and attends to your needs.

For RM68++/person I would say it's a reasonably priced buffet in KL town. But personally, I would still prefer ala carte buffet!

Gel Manicure at beeQNails, Petaling Jaya

Hey, pretty! I am happy to share that last month I've won a gel manicure giveaway from my pretty blogger friend Grace Onn.  She's having this giveaway of gel manicure at beeQNails, PJ for 3 winners. I am happy to share that yours truly is one of the winner. My winning entries goes like this "I need a manicure badly because I never tried gel manicure before, and would love to experience it with the experts at beeQnails. Envy how your nails look so good la, Grace Oon! Thx for tagging."

Alright, enough of the sweet memories. Let me share a little about beeQNails. Apparently, they are sponsoring for quite a few of Astro's host and blogger. Upon reaching, they greet me by my names with a smile, really very friendly. They offer me drinks as soon as I'm seated. I opt for the green tea.

Cosy enviroment, well entertained with a tv

So what's the different between normal manicure and gel manicure? A gel manicure is a type of nail treatment in which a manicurist uses gel polish to color them. Though gel nails are generally long-lasting and don't chip, people do have to take special care when removing them. Therefore, it's best to went back beeQNails for removal since it's complimentary after all.

During a gel manicure, manicurist first cleans and shapes my natural nails and pushes the cuticles back. They are very gentle with cuticle cleaning as I've been to some nail saloon which is pretty rough. They then applies base coat, which helps polish adhere better, and then applies several coats of polish to the nails. After each layer is painted on, I am require to puts my hands under a small LED lamp for 30 seconds to cure and harden it. The manicurist ends by applying a clear top coat to seal and protect the nails. Gel manicure generally lasts for a few weeks without significantly changing or chipping.

This is the LED lamp used. Been rotating my finger nails into this machine every 30 seconds.

Christie is drawing nail art on my nails. Steady hands she got there!

Taa daa.... Final results! Excuse me for my sensitive skin. I really love the sweet combination design.

Bear with me as I will snap more pic with my pretty nails for now! Lol

This gel manicure  I won is valued Rm90. Top up RM28 for the nail art and glittering colour.

This is taken after 2 weeks plus. Slight chipping off on the ring finger while others is still doing real good. Notice how much my nails grown?

Overall, I am very satisfied with the skills and service of BeeQNails! I will definitely come back here, if I were to pampered my nails again.
