PORKI-LI-CIOUS MEAL AT THIRSTY MONKEYS CAFE & BISTRO @ TAMAN DESA, KL (Non Halal)

What's better way to spend a Sunday evening than chilling with refreshing German's beer and lip smackingly good foods in a cosy ambiance. Accompany with fellow bloggers, it was an awesome night checking out Thirsty Monkeys Cafe & Bistro.

Thirsty Monkeys Cafe & Bistro opened its door in July 2014, claimed to served the best German Pork Knuckles, Authentic Sausage Platters and Lamb Shank. Also served here are wide variety of foreign imported beers such as König Ludwig, Errdinger and Franzishanner Weissbier, along with fine choices of wines and liquors.

Great ambiance for a drink or meal.

Thirsty Monkeys is a family restaurant that suitable for a romantic dinner for two or even group parties or events. Why Thirsty Monkeys??? Thirsty Monkeys was actually a combined idea of 3 partners Mr Adrin Colin, Mr Adrian and Mr Surin. Coincidentally, all three of them are born in the year of Monkey.

Spotted this cute pic

Look at the extensive wine selection 😍

Started our night with Hoegaarden & Garden Salad RM10

Lamb Shank RM38 braised to perfection and served with mashed potatoes and salad. Flavorful and tender meat, the gravy is to die for....

Sausage Platter RM80 serving Farmer's Bratwurst, Nuemberger, Emmenthaler, Hungarian, Thueringer, Chorizo and slices of bacon to compliment the dish. Served with garlic mayo, habanera mayo, mustard, sauerkraut and mashed potatoes. Delicious juicy sausages!

Baked Pork Belly RM35 served with mashed potatoes, fresh vegetables and apple sauce. Tender and flavourful meat with thin crispy layer on top that's crackly  upon bite down.

Roasted Pork Knuckles RM68 served with mashed potatoes, sauerkraut and pork sauce. Again, crispy skin with aromatic and tender meat. So fat yet tasty, washing all down with white beer just perfect!

Spicy Mutton, taste superb with fragrant of spices. The meat with a considerable amount of fat is definitely perfect. Sshhh... This is their family secret recipes. Great finger foods!

Apple Crumble RM10 British origin with a hint of citrus flavour so flaky crust and crumble in the mouth.

Fried Banana Fritters Ala Mode RM7
Deep fried battered banana with a scoop of vanilla ice cream & caramel syrup.

Another signature dish is the Chicken Cordon Blue RM25 - Chicken Breast stuffed with cheese and ham then deep fried to perfection. Will definitely try this on my next visit. Must try includes Lamb Shank, Pork Belly, Pork Knuckle, Spicy Mutton and Apple Crumble.

Wow.... Value for money deal 👍

  1. This food looks very good. I like to try all these different sausages. The title sounds like a drinking place more than a German restaurant though.

  3. I agree with Fred. This sounded more like a drinking place (bar & grill kind) than a German resto but anyway, I love how they have so many promotions for customers to enjoy. :)
