Hi there! Do you know where is Taman Melawati? Well, in case you don't know, it is located along MRR2 highway and I frequent here quite often for work actually. Strategically located, the mall will be highly visible from far and conveniently accessible via major highways, including the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2), Damansara-Ulu Klang Expressway (DUKE) and Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (AKLEH) and only a mere 20-minute drive from the heart of the city.

Melawati Mall is set to enhance the attractiveness of the 1,200-acre Melawati township – a cluster of precincts that includes Taman Melawati, Wangsa Melawati and Desa Melawati. It also encompasses Taman Melati, Wangsa Maju, Taman Permata and Kemensah Heights in the vicinity. Adding to the mall’s catchment, the township is also close to popular tourist destinations such as Batu Caves, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman and the International Islamic University Malaysia.

The ultimate new landmark on MRR2, the building design encapsulates vertical voids at strategic locations in the fa├žade to allow natural daylight into the mall, providing shoppers with a connection to the surroundings. It will also features column-free design in the main voids and shopping corridors to provide excellent sight lines and exposure for the retail stores. The intelligent selection of lighting options in atmospheric hues at various levels, including the facade and the use of dynamically sourced materials work towards providing the exclusive and “wow” experience, making Melawati Mall a preferred destination for the denizens of Kuala Lumpur.

Melawati Mall is jointly developed by Sime Darby Property Berhad and CapitaLand Mall Asia. Woo hoo.... I can't wait to shop here once it's ready!
