Auspicious Lunar New Year Feasts @ Dynasty Restaurant, Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel



Hey... Chinese New Year is coming soon!
Of late, we were honoured to be invited to preview the Festive Menus at Dynasty Restaurant, Renaissance Kuala Lumpur. From 2 February until 2 March 2018, immerse your senses and indulge in a Chinese New Year feast capturing the finest flavours of Cantonese cuisine specially curated by Executive Sous Chef Kok Chee Kin and his team of talented chefs. From the festive Dim Sum selection to timeless Treasure Pots or Poon Choi, a superb selection of Set Menus and a line-up of Yee Sang are sure to please all palates. Focusing on the use of traditional ingredients while emphasizing on light and fresh flavours for healthy feasting, Chef Kin has created three festive set menus complete with Yee Sang and Dynasty's fortune pastries featuring Happiness at RM1,788nett, Fortune at RM2,188nett and Longevity at RM3,388nett per table of ten persons. Besides that, 6 course and 7 course Double Delight menus for two persons are available and priced at RM378nett and RM578nett respectively. Groups of six persons are covered with the 9 course Six Happiness Set at RM1,188nett. Meanwhile, the 7 course and 8 course Prosperity Treasure Pot Sets for five persons are meant to impress. No Lunar New Year reunion meal is complete without 'Yee Sang'. Hence, all the menus come with the colourful mixture of raw fish or exotic seafood with crunchy vegetables, crackers and condiments Yee Sang for diners to toss to prosperity and good health which symbolizes the renewal of life.

Whole sun-dried scallop, fish maw, stuffed dried oyster, fresh scallop, flower mushroom, fu kwei abalone, farm chicken, roasted duck, money bag, sea cucumber, vegetarian roasted meat, vegetable, tiger prawns, fish stomach, coral clam and fungi mushroom. 

Golden Prosperity Treasure Pot RM998 or RM1038 for takeaway (5 persons)
Whole sun-dried scallop, fish maw, stuffed dried oyster, Hokkaido scallop, flower mushroom, whole abalone, farm chicken, roasted duck, money bag, sea cucumber, sang kang ball, smoked duck with carrot, vegetable, tiger prawn, bamboo pitch, coral clam, vegetarian roasted meat and fish stomach.

Salmon Yee Sang
Dynasty Restaurant offers three types of Deluxe Yee Sang, such as Salmon, Fruit Fiesta and Jellyfish while the Premium Yee Sang selection features a choice of sea cucumber, abalone & pseudo shark's fin, abalone, jellyfish, scallop, salmon & lobster and mini abalone. Take-away Yee Sang in 'half serving' and 'full serving' can also be arranged for home reunion dinners. The Deluxe Yee Sang is priced at RM118nett for a half portion and RM228nett for a full portion. As for the Premium Yee Sang, the price is RM188nett for a half portion and RM368nett for a full portion.

Rich and thick Braised Five Treasure Soup with Crab Meat & Slice Abalone, it was truly tasty and satisfying.


Crispy Almond Chicken

The chicken coated with crispy almond adds a subtle nutty flavour was simply addictive.

Juicy and succulent Steamed Live Sea Grouper with Sliced Ginger & Chili truly bring out the natural sweetness of the fish. Simplicity at its best!

Mouth-watering Sauteed Golden Prawns with Pumpkin Cream generously laden with rich and creamy pumpkin cream.

An auspicious dish for Chinese New Year, the Braised Sun-dried Oyster, Fatt Choy, Flower Mushroom & Vegetable not only symbolize wealth, it was truly delicious too.


Fluffy and flavourful the Supreme Seafood Golden Fried Rice with X.O Sauce was fabulous with a hint of spiciness.

The Dynasty's Fortune Pastries feature a combination of fried glutinous rice cake with yam and steamed glutinous rice cake with shredded coconut, delish and not too sweet at all.


The warm and comforting Double boiled Sweetened Chrysanthemum Tea with Pear, Red Dates & Aloe Vera was perfect to end our meal on a sweet note.

With over 20 years experience under his belt, Chef Kin joined the hotel since its opening and has come up with his own signature dishes and well-known for his contemporary style of Chinese cooking. Some of his signature dishes worth mentioning include Oriental grilled lamb with Mongolian Sauce, sauteed garden greens and diced mango, Miniature monk jump over the wall, Peking duck and Baked cod with honey served with mayonnaise.

Dynasty Restaurant is open daily for lunch from 12noon to 2.30pm and dinner from 6.30pm to 10.30pm. Dim Sum breakfast is served from 9am to 2.30pm on Sunday and from 10.30am to 2.30pm on Public Holidays.
