The Ultimate Seaside Getaway @ Resorts World Kijal

Greetings from the wonderful picturesque Resorts World Kijal. A couple of weeks ago, I was here with a few of my fellow media and blogger friends, thanks to the kind invitation from RWG. Literally, I jumped at the chance for some vitamin sea at the endless virgin beach. But, the best part is, we are in for a 'turtle watching' experience which is also a 'must see' activity in Terengganu, that's the icing on the cake!

We started our journey from Kuala Lumpur and finally after 4 hours plus on the road we are here at Resorts World Kijal, the 5 star hotel located on the East Coast of Terengganu. Upon arrival, we received a warm welcome from the friendly team of Resorts World Kijal. For a moment, I am feeling like a celebrity. Lol

We are treated to a 'silat' performance. In case you didn't know, 'silat' is a Southeast Asia martial arts.

Ta dah.... here's my crib, the Deluxe Room. Though, the room design is a bit outdated, it was very clean and spacious measuring 383 sq ft.

Resorts World Kijal has 340 rooms inventory, with various categories such as Deluxe room, Premier Seaview room, Deluxe suite & Premier suite are designed to transform to Duplex room or sold separately, while Anjung and Putra suite has the Majestic style setup. The suite offers a private jacuzzi bathtub right in the garden with an entrance to the beach. There are seven units of Deluxe suite and seven units of Premier suites, all measuring 929 sq ft each. There are also 90 connecting rooms, making up 45 pairs with two rooms specially designed for the handicapped.

The room was well-equipped with a television with in-house movies, satellite TV programmes,  mini fridge, safe box, tea & coffee making facilities and complimentary bottles of mineral water. Wifi access available at a charge.

Oohh... check out the scenic view of the pool and beach from my Deluxe Sea View room window.

Love the separate toilet compartment.

But it's more fun chilling in the bathtub. :p

Lovebird could also upgrade their room to the Premier Deluxe Room which comes with a jacuzzi in the room.

Oh my.... Love the huge swimming pool. The adult pool covers 11,000 sq ft while the kids' pool covers 5,600 sq ft, It is complimentary to hotel guests, walk-in guests could enjoy the pool at RM30 for adult and RM20 for children. Now, if only I could swim! :(

Wootz.. It was my first time trying ATV riding, definitely a fun ride. Thanks for the guidance, friend.

After tons of interesting activities, finally it's dinner by the beach at Oasis Beach Bistro. We are lucky to catch a glimpse of the sunset, which obviously doesn't look that pretty in my photo. Still, the magnificent seaside view wins! Don't you think so?

Fresh seafoods BBQ.

Dinner was brilliant with the mouth-watering superb fresh seafoods and Western food. It was a lovely evening to be serenade by the live performances too.

After our dinner,  it's the moment we all waiting anxiously for. Since turtle was not sighted, we get to experience releasing of green baby turtle hatchling to the sea. Gosh... those mini turtles are super adorable, we couldn't resist to take photo and selfie with it. However, please be reminded, no flash is allowed as the camera flash is harmful to the turtles and can cause them to be blind.

Goodbye my lil one.....

The whole experience was indeed great and meaningful. Felt so blissful watching the baby turtles heading to the sea. But at the same time, it is sad to learn the fact that apparently only 1 out of 1000 turtles released will actually survive. This is truly a good environmental educational experience that everyone should try, no matter children or adult.

Planting of the turtle's egg at the hotel's hatchery was another great effort into the conservation of the beach and turtles.
