Hey! In case you didn't know I'm a big fan of steamboat especially when it's unlimited free refills of food. Recently, we chanced upon a new restaurant by the name of Setia City Palace 8, a pork-free restaurant which is located on the ground floor of Setia City Convention Centre (next to Setia City shopping mall).

Steamy Good Time This Chinese New Year @ Ye Zi, The Roof

There's nothing more heartwarming than gathering with your loved ones over a pot of steamy hot soup for a steamboat feast. This Lunar New Year experience the prosperity toss, 'Loh Hey' at Signature by The Hill whilst indulging in a large selection of delectable fusion cuisine or dine at Ye Zi for the oriental steamboat experience.

The award-winning Ye Zi located at The Roof, a premium integrated dining and entertainment hub offering customers a breathtaking and spectacular city skyline at night.

Signature by the hill - Prosperity Yee Sang

Prosperity Yee Sang available in small and large servings priced from RM68++ onwards. The delectable creation comprising of  thin slices of pickled vegetables, salmon and other ingredients mixed together with its special sauce which imparts a distinctive flavor. Add on jellyfish or abalone for a touch of luxury. 

Yezi – Chinese New Year Dinner Delights 

Treat your friends and family to auspicious dishes presented with Yezi’s signature coconut-based broths for a season of luck and prosperity. Three choices of steamboat packages offer a true splendour of Cantonese delights including a generous serving of Yu Sang, fresh seafood, imported meat slices, premium handmade meat & fish balls, pastes, organic vegetables, noodles and signature coconut dessert. Price starts from RM798 (10pax) and RM538 (6pax) available from now till 29th February, 5pm – 1am and all packages is inclusive of Yee Sang.

Wild Forest Truffle Mushroom Broth

One of Yezi's Signature Coconut-based Broth, the vegetarian broth has strong, extraordinary and earthy flavours with a bouquet of truffles. It is also highly beneficial as they are rich in protein, essential vitamins, minerals and amino acids. Simply superb.

Apart from the Original Yezi Broth, others include Imperial Canton Broth, Aromatic Taiwanese Beef Spice Broth and Fragrant 'Shao Xing' Wine Seafood Broth.

Hey! With the GST implementing soon, eating out will be much more expensive. In hunt for affordable and tummy satisfied  foods, check out Moo Kata Steamboat & BBQ house. Located in a corner of Kuchai Lama Food Court, newly opened Moo Kata Steamboat & BBQ house has over 120 types of all you can eat foods for RM38++ per person. 

With 3 different type of cooking ways, you are free to choose your preferred method between steamboat, sizzling hot plate or grilling. Worth trying out is the steamboat of course, as the soup base is made of 210 kg of pork bones and 170 litres of water.

If you need quick fixes, there's fried rice, fried bee hoon, curry chicken etc.

Assorted sticks of marinated black pepper, teriyaki, curry or honey beef, lamb & pork etc all ready for grilling.

There's even fresh pork slices which taste so good on it owns perfect for any style of cooking.

IMO, Moo Kata sauce rocks!

Full of spicyness and fragrant.

For a mild spicy, do try Suki sauce.

Rest is just average or perhaps I'm too engross with signature sauce. 😁

Homemade Tom Yam paste, add a spoonful into the soup for a kick to the taste buds. 

Had a great food tasting session with the  rest of foodies. 

Desserts - Assorted ice cream

Must try, Durian Float. Made of D24 durian, mille crepe likes instead of sweet it's more to salty. Either you love it or hate it, I do love it very much!

Foods : 7/10

Price : 7/10

Ambiance: 6/10 (It can get pretty hot, be prepared to wear light.)

My verdict : Overall, I enjoyed all the meats offerings. Must try will be the black pepper and honey marinade.

However, seafoods freshness is not up to par. So choose your seafood wisely!

Last Saturday, I was invited by Halim Brothers for a makan session at Pak John Steamboat & BBQ buffet with other fellow bloggers. Steamboat buffet are available at the Ecurve Mall outlet with more than 100 dishes served for all you can eat.

Which one is your choice? 

Priced at only RM36++ this seems like a great bargain as the buffet comes with unlimited supply of premium seafood, Australia beef slices, New Zealand lamb slices, smoked duck breast, premium abalone slices and much much more....... Not forgetting, a variety of soups for your choice namely prawn, miso, tom yam, curry, beef bone and chicken soup. For sure, there's one that suit your taste buds.

Our dinner are accompanied with live band performance by Voxscape Acoustic serenading Malay and English song. We are well entertained with good foods and nice songs. In fact, there's a young lady celebrating her birthday at Pak John that day, Voxscape Acoustic presented a birthday song for her. She's look blissfully happy. This is a great venue for birthday celebration! :)
