Relaxing Spa @ M Spa & Fitness and World Club Room Staycation @ First World Hotel (Review)

A couple of weeks ago, I was in Genting Highlands for a weekend staycation. It was meant to be a relaxing weekend getaways, hence a spa session was included in the itinerary. I booked a 'Complete for Her' treatment package priced at RM638 which include a 60 minutes Valmont facial, 90 minutes Rejuvenating Treatment(Full body exfoliation and body massage) and a complimentary 15 minutes Foot Bath Ritual at M Spa & Fitness which is located at the lobby of Genting Grand.

M SPA & FITNESS

Walking into the classy and elegant M Spa lifted my mood instantly. With a total built-up area of 18,200 square feet, the award winning spa also provides an extensive facilities such as male and female wet therapy, unisex treatment area, a fully equipped gymnasium, manicure and pedicure, hair studio as well as cafe bar.

For facial treatment to treat aging skin, Swiss-based Valmont is used. Pevonia, an American brand is used for the spa's body treatments and men's facial treatments, while OPI figures prominently in its hand and feet treatment packages.

There are 15 types of treatment rooms available at M Spa and this is the beautiful and elegant couple room.

My treatment began with the foot bath in sea salt, which includes a quick foot massage.

Soft-textured mango scrub which is packed with exfoliating salt grains are used for the body exfoliation.

Combined with essential oils, the luxurious scrub leaves my skin feeling refreshed, soft and glowing.

After a quick shower to rinse off the scrub, I was served hot ginger tea and fresh fruits.

For the body massage, the therapist incorporates Baliness acupressure with gentle kneading and stroking. It was so relaxing that I dozed off half way.

My treatment, then continues with Valmont facial. The therapist started with double cleansing to deep cleanse, followed by scrub to eliminate dead skin cells. She then massages my face to help promote blood circulation. Serum was also applied prior to the application of mask.

While waiting for the mask to dry, which takes about 20 minutes, the therapist gives me a heavenly head massage. The facial came to an end, with the application of moisturiser and sunblock. After the facial treatment, my skin feels radiantly clean, refined and hydrated, thanks to the experienced beauty therapist. Did you know all the therapists are certified by Valmont and need to undergo a complete facial course with Valmont Professional Trainer before qualified as a therapist?

All guests could also enjoy a complimentary relaxing dip in the jacuzzi.

What a perfect way to end my pampering session. I truly felt so relaxed and recharged.

  1. Massage improves the blood circulation in your body. Your heart gets enough oxygen and you are less likely to have a heart attack. 강남 출장안마
