Delicious Lunar Treat and Signature Dim Sum @ Summer Palace, PutrajayaMarriott Hotel

The Mid-Autumn festival symbolized harmony and family unity, a season for relatives and friends get together to savour mooncakes and watch the moon. In recent years, the variety flavours of mooncake and shapes have become more prominent, hence this year Summer Palace's Chef Chan Wooi Leong introduces the exciting green tea flavour, which is packed with nutrition and antioxidants.  

Crystal Green Tea Paste with Single Yolk
The crystal skin was thin and aromatic, while the paste was robust in flavour and not overly sweet too.

Baked Mooncake with Red Bean Paste & Single Yolk
A traditional favourite, the mooncake was baked to a lovely golden brown, filled with sweet and delicate red bean paste.

Do you know Chef Chan who has over 15 years of experience in making mooncakes learned his basics in mooncakes making from his mother who was known for her delicious mooncakes

I'm super glad that I had the opportunity to hands-on under the guidance of Chef Chan.

Steamed Crystal Dumpling with Black Caviar
We are also treated to this beautifully presented mouth-watering dumpling filled with succulent and juicy prawn. Highly recommended!

Steamed Shrimp Dumpling with Dried Scallop
Up next, another lovely dumpling with thin crystal skin. Nice springy texture fillings, but a tad salty for my preference. This is one #instagrammable dish, don't you agree with me? Lol

Steamed Lotus Bun
Last but not least, the adorable hedgehog bun. Literally, it took 10 minutes for Chef Chan to handcraft each of this bun filled with gooey and delicious filling.

Definitely another #instagrammable dish.
