Thyme to Taste @ Neo Damansara, Petaling Jaya (Pork Free)


Thyme To Taste, a hidden gem in Neo Damansara is a restaurant that offer affordable good foods. The talented Chef Kenny, helmed the restaurant with his 13 years of experience in hotel line majoring Western fusion cuisine. 

CARROT JUICE RM10
Cold pressed with no sugar added. 

BERRIES SMOOTHIES RM10
Berries goodness blended with fresh milk and yogurt.

CHEF SALADS RM19 
Garden salad top with tuna flakes and hard boiled egg.
With balsamic vinegar added, it's truly appetizing. The tuna flakes is pretty moist too.

Wild Mushroom Soup and Green Asparagus Soup.

WILD MUSHROOM SOUP RM15 
Made from scratch, mushroom scented with truffle oil is a good starter. 
With truffle oil added, the soup really outshine the usual mushroom soup I've tasted.

GREEN ASPARAGUS (PERU) RM15 
Grilled fresh Peru green asparagus in cream. 
The colour of soup is all natural and not the usual very green type. Slight creamy and taste wonderfully luxurious.

SEAFOOD MARINARA RM25 
Sauteed shrimps, fish, squid and pronto sauce.
Al dente spaghetti with generous sauce and fresh seafoods.

CARBONARA RM22
Beef bacon, cream sauce, parmesan and shitake mushroom. 
This is seriously good! Every spoonful is such a treat yet can't help thinking of the calories-laden. Hehehe...

SCALLOP RM10
Spaghetti sauteed with garlic and chilli flakes, topped with rocket (Aragula) and parsley. Add on Hokkaido scallop and grilled prawns for a fulfilling meal.

GARLIC BREAD RM9 
So aromatic, so crispy, definitely the bomb here.

THYME’S FISH BURGER 
Grilled thick fish patties mixture of Mackerel, Salmon and Tuna. Served with melted cheddar cheese on top.

I find the patty tasty but a little bit dry for my liking though.
 
Thanks to Chef Kenny special preparation, we get to sample this Jumbo King Prawn.

JUMBO KING PRAWN (seasonal price)
Available upon advance booking.

You can opt for cheese-baked or oven-baked with herbs. 

The King prawn is so fresh and tasty. My preference will be cheese-baked.

Special setting for special occasion available upon request.
Father's Day, 5 course set meal available from RM110/pax.

CREME BRULEE RM15 
Served with gooseberries stew and chocolate ice cream.
Decent serving of sweet indulgence.

VALRHONA CHOCOLATE LAVA CAKE RM15 
Served with berries stew, gooseberries (physallis) and vanilla ice cream 
Not too sweet, crusty on the outside, soft inside with warm, gooey chocolate in the centre.

What a lovely setting. Wish there's real wine in my glass though. Ohh... You could bring your own alcohol for a small corkage fees of RM30 only. Catering services available too.

My verdict : Delicious foods in a cosy restaurant. Must try Mushroom soup, Garlic Bread, Carbonara and Chocolate Lava Cake.
